The Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) is organizing the International Youth E-Games Championships in partnership with the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, High Technology Technopark IT-park, U Can Company (UCC) under the “Kazan OIC Youth Capital 2022>> International Programme on 8-10 October 2022 in Kazan, Tatarstan (RF).

BACKGROUND

The International Youth E-Games Championships is a space of opportunities where participants can show their skills in e-Sports and represent their country at an international competition. The competition will be broadcast worldwide.

AIM

The Championship aims to identify the best teams aged 18-35 in the online gaming sphere in the regions of Russia and OIC countries.

OBJECTIVES:

The Championship targets to achieve the following objectives:

1. Developing deeper interaction among the youth of the OIC countries.

2. Providing opportunities for young talents to contribute meaningfully to the development of e Sports.

3. Identifying talented youth in the e-Sports sphere. 4. Generating interest and motivation among participants for further participation in international

OIC events.

5. Learning about the youth opportunities in Russia and exploring Kazan as the OIC Youth Capital.

LOCATION & DATE

Location: Kazan/Tatarstan (Russian Federation) Date: 8-10 October 2022

SELECTION CRITERIA

The submissions will be accepted for the selection process based on the criteria described below.

1. To be a citizen (young male and female) of the OIC Member States or the Russian Federation.

2. Age between 18-35.

3. Pass the official selection within the country or to

be nominated officially by the relevant authorities (Ministry/Presidency etc.) for the nominees’ country of residence

4. Have achievements in the e Sports area

• Important Note: Applications will be accepted only through the relevant authorities (Ministry/Presidency of Youth Affairs or Sports etc.) • Participants who want to apply for The International Youth E-Games Championships should contact their country’s relevant authorities (Ministry/Presidency of Youth Affairs or Sports etc.) for the nominees country of residence

THE FORMAT AND METHODOLOGY

The Championship will be held in 2 stages:

The first stage – Qualifier Tournament from 11 July to 20 August on the national level (online). According to the results of the Qualifier Tournament, 120 people in 3 e-Sports disciplines will take part in the Grand Final of the Championship. The selection of participants for the Championship in each country is carried out independently. Following the results of the selection, the countries will send the list of participants to the Championship Organising Committee.

The second stage – Grand Final in Kazan, from 8 to 9

October 2022:

8 October – group stage,

9 October – Single Elimination stage and the main finals in 3 disciplines, 10 October – cultural programme. The Championship programme will include:

Online hosting and broadcasting on international platforms, cultural education programmes for participants.

The championship will be held in the following disciplines:

1. Dota 2 (5 representatives in one team from each country)

2. FIFA 2022 (1 representative from each country)

3. Hearthstone (1 representative from each country)

The team must be nominated by their country.

COSTS

The host country will cover all local expenses in Kazan.

IMPORTANT TIMELINE

Application Deadline: 25 August 2022

VISA

The ICYF will provide an invitation letter to facilitate visa issuance for participants. However every participant is expected to follow up and proceed with their visa process. The participants are also expected to cover the visa fees by themselves.

CERTIFICATE AND AWARDS

The winners will be awarded a certificate issued by the Kazan OIC Youth Capital 2022 Organizing Committee.

The winners will be selected in 3 disciplines:

1. Dota 2 ($30,000 prize pool)

2. FIFA 2022 ($15,000 prize pool)

3. HearthStone ($15,000 prize pool)
